The Craft in America Study Center in Los Angeles is featuring a three-part series of exhibitions focusing on the intersection of contemporary craft and food, “Good Enough to Eat: the Fusion of Food and Craft.” These shows explore work by innovators who are redefining craft and the new role that it serves in our increasingly food-centric culture.

Wexler Gallery presents new works by Rhode Island glass artist Daniel Clayman.

Brooklyn Metal Works is now accepting submissions for their summer 2013 juried jewelry and object exhibition.
Jewish ceremonial spice boxes and other items, historic and modern.
California artist Velda Newman uses vivid colors and close detail to give the shells, flowers, fruit and other subject matter in her quilts a three-dimensional quality. One of Newman’s works, Hydrangea, was recognized as one of the top 100 quilts of the 20th century. Many of the works in this exhibition are on loan from the artist’s private collection.
Dave and Roberta Williamson (b. 1949) are jewelers who live in Berea, Ohio. The Williamsons create jewelry that combines ephemera and found objects, some of which has been passed down in their families, and others found at the many flea markets and antique shows they frequent.
